Terms of Service

1. Using ChronosTales
ChronosTales is an interactive fiction service. You need an account to save characters and adventures. You are responsible for the activity on your account and for keeping your login secure. You must be at least 13 years old (or the minimum age in your country) to use the service.
2. Subscriptions and billing
Paid plans are billed in advance through Stripe, either monthly or annually, and renew automatically until cancelled. You can cancel at any time from your account page; access continues until the end of the period you paid for. Prices may change, and we will give notice before a change affects your renewal. If a charge fails, paid features may be suspended until payment succeeds.
3. Your content
You keep ownership of the characters, stories and worlds you write. By publishing a world, character, quest or mechanics pack to the community, you grant ChronosTales a non-exclusive, worldwide licence to store, display and distribute that content inside the service, and to feature it in discovery surfaces. You can unpublish your content at any time, which ends the licence for future distribution.
4. Fan works and third-party rights
Worlds based on existing franchises are unofficial fan works. They are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by the rights holders. If you are a rights holder and believe content on ChronosTales infringes your rights, contact us through the Suggestions board with the world or character link and a description of your claim; we review takedown requests and remove content we conclude infringes.
5. Acceptable use
Do not upload content that is unlawful, sexually explicit involving minors, defamatory, or that you do not have the right to share. Do not attempt to break, scrape at scale, or resell the service, and do not use it to harass other players. We may remove content or suspend accounts that break these rules.
6. AI narration
Scenes are generated by AI models and can be inconsistent, inaccurate or surprising. Treat narration as fiction, not advice. We may adjust prompts and models to improve quality.
7. Availability and liability
The service is provided as-is. We work to keep it online but do not guarantee uninterrupted access, and we are not liable for indirect losses arising from outages, data loss or generated content. Nothing here limits rights you have under consumer law where you live.
8. Changes
We may update these terms as the product changes. Material changes will be announced in the app before they take effect. Continuing to use the service after a change means you accept the updated terms.
